Die-casting is a precision casting method, through the casting and it into the dimensional tolerance is very small, the surface accuracy is very high, in most cases, die-casting without turning to process can be assembled applications, threaded parts can also be cast directly out. From the general camera parts, typewriter parts, electronic computing devices and decorations, and other small parts, as well as automobiles, locomotives, aircraft, and other vehicles, most of the complex parts are manufactured using the method. Die-casting is different from other casting methods is the main characteristic of high pressure and high speed.

Here is the content:

  • High pressure

  • High speed

  • Compared with other manufacturing methods

High pressure

The essence of high-pressure die casting is to make liquid or semi-liquid metal under high pressure to fill the cavity of the mold (die-casting mold) at a high speed and to obtain the casting by molding and solidifying under pressure. Pressure die casting, there are two major characteristics of high pressure and high-speed filling casting type. It is commonly used pressure injection ratio from thousands to tens of thousands of kPa, even up to 2 × 105kPa. filling speed of about 10 ~ 50m / s, sometimes even up to 100m / s or more. The filling time is very short, generally in the range of 0.01~0.2s.

High speed

The metal liquid fills the cavity at a high speed, usually 10-50m/s, and in some cases more than 80m/s (the linear speed of the cavity through the inner gate - the speed of the inner gate), so the filling time of the metal liquid is extremely short. The time is determined by the size of the casting, and generally, the time used varies with the size of the casting. It takes about 0.01-0.2 seconds.

Comparison with other manufacturing methods

Compared with other manufacturing methods, casting parts have many unique advantages: for example, compared with sheet metal parts, the parts can be more complex in shape, the wall thickness of the parts can be varied, a die casting can replace several sheet metal parts, thus simplifying the structure of the product form.

Another example: compared with plastic parts, casting out of die casting in strength, electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity, and anti-electromagnetic radiation and other aspects have advantages. It is compared with machined parts, casting out of the die casting lightweight, low processing costs. Then it is compared with other casting methods, casting out of the die casting product size precision, the good surface feels, high quality, and production efficiency is also very high.

Because of the above advantages and unique advantages of it, making it is now more and more widely used. It plays an important role in many products such as laptop computers, cell phones, cameras, cars, and motorcycles. In these products, die casting as a fashion, environmental protection humane, and innovative selling point appeared in front of consumers, consumers also very recognized such products. With the development of casting technology, die-casting will be more widely used. Welcome to call our company, we will provide you with quality service.
