Surface finishing service

The easiest way to source your custom parts, with 15+ surface finishing options. Get your parts bead blasted, anodized, or powder coated.
We offer various added-value offerings to the metal products which we provide. Some of these are machining, surface finishing and the ability to supply semi or fully assembled products.
Surface finishing such as plating, anodizing, painting and oil surface treatments are offered on various metal components only on that we supply. We do not offer these services for parts or products that are not from us.

Defining an A and a B side

Silver, gold, and chrome plating options are offered.

Surface finishing often leaves aesthetic defects on your parts, such as hang marks for anodizing. Defining an A- and a B-side in your design will ensure that the most important areas of your part remain free of defects.

Consistency requirements

You can define an A-side and a B-side in your technical drawing:
A side: Indicates the most aesthetically important surface, typically the visible side of your product.
B side: Indicates the side that is not aesthetically important, typically the side hidden from visibility after assembly

Visual inspection conditions

For the primary surface (A-side) of your part, we guarantee defect-free production. In contrast, secondary surfaces (B-side) may be machined with hanging marks and other minor defects. B-side surfaces, like the rest of your part, will be free of scratches, stains and blemishes.

Our painting services include both primer and topcoat operations with a wide range of color options. Working with different types of paints, including low, medium, and high solvent content enamels, as well as lacquers, is not a problem for us.

Our anodizing capabilities include conventional anodizing and hard coat anodizing for aluminum. Hard coat anodizing services comply with a range of specifications to ASTM specs and other customer specified standards.

Masking and Plugging

In addition to enhancing your components’ electrical resistance, our coatings also improve their thermal conductivity and surface hardness. Masking of critical areas of components is often done through the use of masking and plugging items such as stop off lacquers, assorted caps, and plugs.

Anodizing

It is a method for changing the surface chemistry of metals and other substrates. It protects against corrosion, enhances aesthetic qualities, resists scratching and is one of the most durable surface finishes available.
Sandblasting

It can remove paint, rust, and residue from oxidation from materials quickly and efficiently. Sandblasting can also be used to change the condition of a metal's surface, such as through removing scratches or casting marks. Sandblasting as a cleaning method has been widely used for over a hundred years.
Polishing

It is the process of creating a smooth and shiny surface by rubbing it or by applying a chemical treatment, leaving a clean surface with a significant specular reflection (still limited by the index of refraction of the material according to the Fresnel equations).
Plating

It is used to decorate objects, for corrosion inhibition, to improve solderability, to harden, to improve wearability, to reduce friction, to improve paint adhesion, to alter conductivity, to improve IR reflectivity, for radiation shielding, and for other purposes.
Painting

It is most commonly used to protect, color, or provide texture to objects. Paint can be made or purchased in many colors—and in many different types, such as watercolor or synthetic.
Powder Coating

It provides a more durable finish than liquid paints can offer, while still providing an attractive finish. Powder coated products are more resistant to diminished coating quality as a result of impact, moisture, chemicals, ultraviolet light, and other extreme weather conditions.
Silk Printing

It is the process of pressing ink through a stencilled mesh screen to create a printed design. It’s a popular technique used in a whole range of different industries, so even if you've never heard of the term before today, it’s likely that you’ve worn or used a screen-printed product at some point without even realising.
Laser printing

It is an electrostatic digital printing process. It produces high-quality text and graphics (and moderate-quality photographs) by repeatedly passing a laser beam back and forth over a negatively charged cylinder called a "drum" to define a differentially charged image.
